I took the lid off the rear electrical box, back next to the battery, on my 1997 GTX. I can get the lid to go down tight enough for it to snap back into place. Any suggestions? .

I purchased a 98 gtx limited and noticed the rear electrical box lid is held on with zip ties. Is it supposed to have a fastener of some kind or is this how seadoo designed it?
